Why does body have to removed?
The RR Sport and Discovery 3/4 sometimes require body removal from the chassis to complete more complicated Land Rover repairs. Removing the body allows for greater access to areas that would otherwise be very difficult to reach. This body removal is carried out using a 2 post lift, raising the body off the chassis while leaving the running gear, including the engine, intact on the chassis. This facilitates tasks such as engine replacement, turbo replacement, suspension work, brake pipe repairs, and other Range Rover services, all with less obstruction from the body. Additionally, this process can reveal other areas needing attention, which can be addressed at a reduced labor cost due to the enhanced access.
